OUR WORK AND IMPACT
Assessing the Womanity Award Model
Many scale-up partnerships are top down, with programs developed, tested, and funded by the Global North. The Womanity Foundation aims to shift these dynamics by focusing on the power of collaboration between organizations in the Global South to take proven solutions to scale through a carefully supported process of adaptation. Adaptation and scaling are complex and challenging processes which require support, however there is little evidence on what makes an effective technical assistance model.
GEH, in collaboration with the Womanity Foundation, is evaluating the Womanity Award partnership model and seeks to contribute to the discussion on decolonizing development, feminist funding principles and how donors can devolve power while supporting the work of women’s rights organizations.
